The Wisconsin Union is seeking a creative, and analytically minded Marketing Specialist to help manage and integrate key marketing functions across acquisition, content management, specialized projects, conferences and events, and brand strategies. The Marketing Specialist works with the Marketing Associate Director and experts within Wisconsin Union departments, enhancing the organization's ability to reach and engage target audiences and elevate our brand's visibility within the community. The ideal candidate is a marketing generalist with a strong grasp of all aspects of marketing - from brand management to analytics - and a proven ability to translate strategy into compelling content and measurable outcomes.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Guide Membership Acquisition marketing to ensure success of Wisconsin Union/Wisconsin Union Association efforts - 10%

  • Develops, implements, and maintains strategic marketing plans based on research and established strategies - 20%

  • Guide UW Conferences & Events marketing to ensure success of Wisconsin Union efforts - 10%


  • Develops, implements, and disseminates marketing materials through various

    communication mediums utilizing appropriate technologies and techniques - 20%



  • Collects, analyzes, prepares, summarizes, and disseminates data and trends relevant to

    ongoing or future marketing activities - 40%

Compensation:

The starting salary for the position is $54,000 - but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:

-Experience in marketing or communications

-Experience with developing and implementing marketing plans

-Demonstrated track record in writing marketing copy and creating marketing materials

-Understanding of brand management, campaign execution, digital marketing, and analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with digital, direct and social media applications

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Experience working in matrixed or multi-business environments is a plus

- Skilled in using metrics and performance data to optimize marketing effectiveness and ROI

-Comfortable working across teams and functions to drive alignment and results

-Experience marketing in a higher education environment a plus

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Preferred
