What does a Lead Network Engineer do at Swire Coca - Cola? Swire Coca-Cola is seeking a highly skilled Lead Network Engineer to design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise network solutions. This role will provide both technical leadership and people mentorship, guiding a team of engineers while driving forward our data center and wide-area network initiatives across 58 offices. The Lead Network Engineer will serve as a trusted subject matter expert in advanced Cisco and Meraki technologies, ensuring that our network infrastructure delivers the reliability, scalability, and performance required for a modern, high-growth enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Architect and Design Network Solutions: Lead the design of enterprise-scale network solutions across data center, campus, and distributed environments to ensure scalability, resiliency, and performance
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting skill growth, collaboration, and adoption of best practices
- Implementation & Engineering: Deploy and configure Cisco Nexus switches, Meraki firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure, ensuring adherence to design standards
- Strategic Planning & Roadmap Development: Collaborate with IT leadership to define and execute long-term network strategies aligned with organizational goals and digital transformation initiatives
- Operational Excellence: Establish and enforce standards for monitoring, capacity planning, and configuration management to optimize uptime and performance
- Network Security & Compliance: Design and implement security controls, firewall policies, and compliance measures to safeguard enterprise assets and data
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with application, cloud, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet enterprise and business requirements
- Innovation & Technology Evaluation: Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies to improve network automation, efficiency, and reliability
- Incident Response & Escalation Support: Serve as the highest-level escalation point for complex network incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintain detailed network documentation, playbooks, and standards to ensure consistent operations and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline required
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) required
- CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) preferred
- 7+ years of progressive experience in network engineering roles with increasing responsibilities in design, architecture, and leadership required
- Strong expertise in Cisco Nexus data center switching technologies
- Proven experience with Meraki firewalls, switches, and enterprise wireless solutions
- Proficiency in network routing, switching, and firewall security architectures
- Familiarity with SD-WAN, cloud networking, and network automation tools highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
