Title: Quality Supervisor
Location: Independence, MO
Salary: $ 80,000 - $ 100,000
Schedule: 980 schedule
Focus: Oversees quality assurance and inspection activities in ammunition manufacturing to ensure products meet safety, performance, and regulatory standards. Leads a team of quality inspectors, enforces QA processes, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to maintain compliance with military, industry, and company requirements.
Quality Supervisor Essential Job Functions:
Supervise and mentor quality assurance staff to ensure accurate inspections and adherence to procedures.
Monitor production processes to verify compliance with MIL-STD, DoD, and company quality standards.
Conduct audits, inspections, and tests to detect defects and ensure ammunition safety and performance.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and safety teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain quality documentation, reports, and metrics for internal and regulatory review.
Quality Supervisor Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor's degree* in Quality, Engineering, or Business Admin/Management preferred.
5+ years of experience in quality assurance; Experience in ammunition, defense, or energetic materials manufacturing preferred.
Strong knowledge of MIL-STD, ANSI, or ISO quality standards.
Leadership experience with demonstrated ability to manage and train QA personnel.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and communication skills.
Location-Specific Requirements:
Must have or be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Level DoD clearance.
Must have a valid US Driver's License.
This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls if required.
This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
