The Marketing and Public Relations Specialist creates, plans, executes, and evaluates internal and external marketing, communications and public relations plans, that build the Mercyhealth brand and drive market share. This position supports the overall efforts of Mercyhealth's Marketing and Public Relations Department.


Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute marketing and public relations plans for specified service lines that meet organizational goals, drive market share and build the Mercyhealth brand.

  • Work with department and service line leadership to develop measurable campaign goals.

  • Coordinate and track the development of campaign content to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Works closely with web, social/digital, graphics and media team members to maintain integrity and consistency of the organizational brand standards and campaign messaging and strategy.

  • Use data and analytics to monitor and report on campaign performance and adjust strategy.

  • Obtain quotes and place orders as directed with outside vendors

  • Coordinate and execute production of other promotional collateral for assigned service lines

  • Conducts market and media research and makes recommendations

  • Responsible for overseeing projects assigned to marketing interns

  • Maintains and tracks all costs related to projects

  • Ensure all projects and elements move forward on schedule

  • Plan and execute events that promote service lines.

  • Coordinate materials for Mercyhealth and community partnered events

  • Operate as member of the crisis communication team

  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance marketing efforts.

  • Attend virtual or in-person marketing related conferences

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communication (or related field)

Experience in project management, social media and health care preferred

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

FEMA Certification

FEMA ICS-100 For Health Care/Hospitals Certification (or must be obtained within 12 months of hire)

FEMA ICS-700 National Incident Management System Certification (or must be obtained within 12 months of hire)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Passing the Driver's License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).

Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.

Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.

Good interpretive/analytical skills

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
