Role Summary

In this role, you will support high-quality lending decisions by reviewing less complex real estate valuations and ensuring they meet regulatory and internal standards. You'll partner with teams across the bank to maintain appraisal compliance and streamline valuation processes. This is a great opportunity to grow your expertise in real estate appraisal while contributing to strong credit quality. Key Accountabilities
  • Perform appraisal and evaluation reviews to support lenders and credit officers in accurately valuing real estate collateral.

  • Select qualified appraisers and evaluation firms from approved lists and prepare engagement letters within the appraisal management system.

  • Analyze received valuations for compliance, methodology, and accuracy before completing review reports.

  • Partner with Business Development Officers, Relationship Managers, Credit Analysts, underwriting, and processing teams to ensure compliant and independent valuation practices.

  • Respond to inquiries from Appraisal Compliance Officers, Senior Credit Officers, and external vendors regarding ordering and review procedures.

  • Maintain and update approved appraiser lists, recommending additions or removals based on qualifications and performance.

  • Support ongoing appraisal operations by assisting with process improvements and documentation needs.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2+ years real estate experience through education, lending, appraisal, or appraisal review

  • Candidate must have the ability to commute the Milwaukee, WI area as needed.

Preferred:

  • Interest in pursuing Licensed or Certified Residential Appraiser credentials within 2 years

  • Candidate for designation with a recognized professional appraisal organization (e.g., SRA, ASA, AI-RRS)
