As a
Sr Acquisition Program Manager with MTSI, you will assist in full acquisition life cycle activities within the Defense Acquisition System (e.g., material solution and analysis, technology maturation and risk reduction, engineering and manufacturing development, production and deployment, operations and sustainment).
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- Serve as a senior program advisor for extremely time critical, classified projects requiring technical expertise in systems engineering.
- Make recommendations based on broad knowledge of engineering disciplines, as well as knowledge of established Department of War/Department of Defense (DoW/DoD) and Air Force regulations, instructions, and policies.
- Review and evaluate contract deliverables, integrated master schedules, technical status reports, invoices and cost performance reports and provide assessments to the Government team. Assist the Government in evaluating technical sufficiency, cost, schedule, and quality of contract deliverables.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, briefings, and other events to support program execution.
- Assist in the creation and approval of acquisition strategies and supporting documents in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Draft, review, and edit program reports, briefings, and documents for senior executives in the Department of War, Intelligence Community, Congress, the National Security Council, and other government agencies.
- Monitor funding levels; perform risk analysis including impacts of shortfalls and regulatory funding thresholds; justify requests for additional funds; and coordinate through the approval chain.
- Assist in the full spectrum of actions required to award contracts and contract modifications including pre-award documentation, support source selection activities, and post-award support activities.
- Track and review vendor invoices to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions and FAR/DFARS.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of DoW/DoD, Intelligence Community, or relevant industry acquisition program management work experience with no less than five years total experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment.
- Experience working DoW/DoD acquisition programs to include DoW/DoD contracting and program management strategies, Acquisition Strategy Plan, Contract Data Requirements List/Agreement Data Requirements List, as well as assisting with creating Statement of Objectives and Statement of Work for research and development (R&D) activities.
- Contract management experience, specifically monitoring and assessing program execution and integration of complex programs and systems.
Desired Requirements:
- Experience as an Air Force officer or Department of Air Force civilian acquisition professional.
- Experience with collaboration tools including but not limited to Confluence and/or Jira.
- Experience with expedited/rapid acquisitions and other transition authorities.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's of Science degree in a related field.
- Technical Master's degree - Desired
Clearance Requirements:
- TS/SCI with previous SAP experience required.
