Department Summary The mission of The Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center (The Ashe Center) is to empower UCLA students to achieve their educational goals by providing accessible and holistic health services. Our comprehensive services include Primary Care, Gynecology Services, Immunizations, Travel Medicine, Physical Therapy, Specialty Clinics, Radiology & Laboratory, and Acupuncture - all under one roof! We are also pleased to offer additional services in the Ackerman Student Union: a full-service optometry center, U See LA Optometry, and the Bruin Health Pharmacy. Position Summary The primary function of this position is to provide physical therapy on campus at UCLA to students of UCLA thereby supporting UCLA students in the attainment of their goals. Major responsibilities include evaluating and providing appropriate individualized physical therapy treatment while meeting documentation standards and productivity levels. The primary function of this role is direct patient care. Salary & Compensation UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications* 1+ Year experience in an orthopedic clinic (Preferred) Previous experience in Epic (Preferred) Proficiency in word, outlook, and basic use of excel (Required) Knowledge and understanding of the healthcare needs of a college campus (Required) Proficient written and verbal communication skills to accurately convey information to individuals at all levels of the organization (Required) Skill and ability to work effectively with staff and patients of diverse cultural, ethnic/racial backgrounds and sexual/gender orientations (Required) Possess understanding of a clinical workflow in an outpatient setting, interest in clinical information systems and outcome measurement (Required) Working knowledge of disease, prevention and health promotion needs of late adolescent and adult patterns (Required) Experience working with post-op ACL, hip and shoulder labral repairs (Preferred) Knowledge of Mandated Reporter Rules and Regulations of CA (Required) Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately (Required) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Master or Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree (Required) Physical Therapy License (Required) BLS Certification (Required) Special Conditions for Employment Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation. Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment. Pre-Placement Physical: Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory physical examination. TB Test: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory TB test.
