The lake life is calling! At Horseshoe Bay Resort, we provide some of the best golf in the United States. As a Golf Starter/Marshal, you are the on-course ambassador responsible for the first impression and the final rhythm of the game. You are the conductor of the course, ensuring every member and guest enjoys a seamless, high-quality round in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.

Your Impact: Precision & Pace

You are responsible for managing the flow of the course and ensuring that our luxury golf standards are upheld from the first tee to the eighteenth green.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Master of the First Tee: Welcome members and guests enthusiastically, managing the tee sheet to ensure groups begin their rounds in the proper sequence and on schedule.
  • Pace of Play Specialist: Actively monitor the course according to the pace-of-play schedule. Identify groups out of position and intervene professionally to maintain a smooth flow for all players.
  • Operational Accuracy: Maintain diligent records of cart numbers and turn times; utilize two-way radios to coordinate with the Pro Shop and Member Services.
  • Range Excellence: Monitor the driving range to ensure range balls are perfectly stacked and readily available for our guests.
  • Team Support: Assist Member Services with the staging and return of golf carts, ensuring the facility remains organized and "resort-ready."


What You Bring to the Team



  • Golf Knowledge: A strong understanding of the game of golf, its rules, and standard terminology.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written English skills; the ability to handle pace-of-play interventions with diplomacy and a pleasant demeanor.
  • Professionalism: A neat, professional appearance that aligns with our resort dress code.
  • Reliability: An enthusiastic, self-motivated personality with a high degree of punctuality.
  • Requirements: * Must be 18 years of age or older.


    • Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory MVR for resort insurability.
    • Previous golf course experience is highly preferred.
