ExamWorks is looking for someone experienced in Quadient Impress Automate to join the team as a Technical Product Owner - Print!
This will be onsite in the Woodbury, NY office Monday - Friday standard business hours. The Technical Product Owner - Print, oversees the strategy and lifecycle of the enterprise print systems and automation platforms. This role combines deep technical expertise and product ownership responsibilities to define and prioritize enhancements, optimize print workflow, and partner with technology and operations teams to ensure reliable, high volume print performance and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Own the full product lifecycle for print operations and related automation platforms, including planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
- Define and maintain the product roadmap for Quadient Impress Automate and related print automation processes.; prioritize backlog items based on business needs, technical feasibility, and operational efficiency.
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, and partner with IT, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to deliver solutions.
- Serve as a primary liaison among business units, technology teams, and vendors; communicate system health performance, and roadmap progress to leadership.
- Oversee configuration, monitoring, and failover processes for business print systems (Impress Automate, Kofax ControlSuite), ensuring print workflows, job queues, inserter operations, hot folders, are optimized for reliability.
- Ensure high volume printing equipment and supporting infrastructure are optimized through coordination with operations and vendor partners.
- Conduct technical validation and testing for new features, upgrades, and disaster recovery scenarios; ensure operational readiness.
- Analyze print production workflow to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; design and implement data-driven improvements that enhance quality, output, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain SOP's and technical documentation to support consistency and knowledge transfer.
- Lead root cause analysis for outages and performance issues and drive sustainable corrective actions; document lessons learned and promote ongoing improvement.
- Serve the SME for operations and automation platforms; provide technical guidance and training to operations and support teams.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment upgrades, or process innovations to improve capability and performance.
- Partner with vendors and manufacturers to resolve technical glitches and explore optimization opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field preferred
- A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in high volume print production and workflow automation environment
- Experience with Quadient Impress Automate required. Experience with CAD software or process simulation tools preferred
- Agile certification (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM) is a plus
- PMP or Agile Scrum certification preferred; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
- Must have strong background in process engineering with proven application in production environments
- Must have deep expertise and development experience in Quadient Impress Automate, including hot folder workflows, job queue management, and integration with Kofax ControlSuite
- Must have deep technical knowledge of industrial printing systems and high-volume production equipment
- Must have advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with complex technical systems
- Must have familiarity with Windows server environments, network print queues, and system monitoring tools
- Must have demonstrated history of implementing successful process improvements
- Must have demonstrated leadership in guiding and coordinating teams, ensuring alignment with technical and business objectives
