Georgia-Pacific Brookneal OSB has an incredible opportunity for a Maintenance Area Lead at their oriented-strand board (OSB) facility in Gladys, VA. The Maintenance Area Lead is a key to plant maintenance, reliability, and improvement. This individual assists the Maintenance Supervisor by stepping in for them as needed. They also will work hands on with other maintenance millwright to provide training, support, guidance, and mentorship. The Maintenance Area Lead is responsible for inspecting critical mechanical equipment in our operation and determining the probability of imminent failure.
This is a Day Shift position that requires you to be able to work holidays, overtime, and weekends as needed.

Our Team
This role is responsible for incorporating PM revisions, assuring PM compliance, and creating Standard Maintenance Procedures. This role will conduct PM audits and Quality of Work Acceptance to ensure materials are up to date and work is completed in a precision state. In the absence of the Area Supervisor, this role will be responsible for prioritizing the work backlog, scheduling planned work, monitor and approve work request. This role serves as a key component of our Maintenance Team and can impact the overall success of the organization.
