Job Summary In collaboration with the project team, a senior operator will execute complex experiments, prioritize multiple responsibilities, work independently, and recommend process improvements. They will need to troubleshoot a diverse set of equipment and instrumentation, identify roadblocks, and take initiative to develop solutions to problems. A senior operator will understand FSMA guidelines and follow detailed protocols for proper food-grade cleaning, sample handling, and equipment maintenance. Role Overview As aSenior Operator IIin R&D, you will collaborate with project teams to execute experiments. You'll apply scientific principles to optimize production processes, interpret results, and contribute to innovative solutions. This role requires a hands-on approach, technical curiosity, and a willingness to solve non-routine challenges. Key Responsibilities Conduct complex experiments and process studies in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Interpret experimental data and support next-step recommendations. Operate an array of lab equipment and instrumentation effectively. Identify and troubleshoot issues arising from shifting priorities or complex situations. Complete proper documentation for experiment, HAACP, and FSMA procedures. Qualifications Deep understanding of materials, substances, and production processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with strong initiative and ownership. Will gain basic knowledge of business strategy and how technology supports it. Effective communication and documentation skills. Willingness to learn and grow with coaching and guidance. Mechanical / Electrical Certification preferred but not required.
