Site Services Engineer (Remote & Autonomous Technologies). The Site Services Engineer serves as the product owner and deployment lead for Caterpillar Remote Control and Autonomous technologies. The individual in this role owns the full lifecycle - from initial customer engagement through quoting, sales, deployment, and ongoing support - ensuring successful implementation and long-term performance of these advanced systems at customer sites. In addition, Site Services Engineer acts as the Field Follow Lead for all Cat Command technologies, overseeing in-field performance, customer use, and data collection to drive continual improvement. The Site Services Engineer works working directly with Caterpillar, providing structured feedback, and collaborating closely with CAT engineers on product updates, refinements, and future development priorities.
The Site Services Engineer has responsibility for managing Carter's Remote Control and Autonomy rental fleet, including maintenance coordination, system readiness, and deployment scheduling to support customer operations. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that demands strong technical expertise, solid project management, and clear, direct communication. The position requires consistent collaboration with customers, internal teams, and Caterpillar to align objectives, resolve technical issues, and deliver high-quality deployments. Seeking candidates with previous experience evaluating digital construction technology projects preferred; Previous experience with Quarry/Aggregate, Waste and or Civil Construction applications, preferred; Previous project management and cross-functional coordination experience preferred. Requirements for the Site Services Engineer position include:
