Division of Information Technology Job Description
The IT Data Analytics Architecture team within Enterprise Data Services in the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) provides data and analytics services across all four University of Missouri campuses. This team partners with functional leaders, distributed analytics teams, and other IT units to deliver robust data architecture, analytics engineering, and reporting solutions that support operational decision-making. This position primarily focuses on data analysis and business intelligence development, including creating reports, dashboards, and datasets. In addition, the role offers opportunities to expand into analytics engineering, such as building scalable data models, developing data transformations, and contributing to the modernization of our cloud-based data platform using technologies like Microsoft Fabric. Duties include, but are not limited to: Analyze data and develop solutions (reports, dashboards, datasets) for the Division of IT and other units. Develop and support reporting and visualization solutions using Microsoft Power BI. Develop and maintain data models and datasets to support analytics, reporting, and integration needs. Contribute to the evolution of our cloud data platform, leveraging emerging technologies like Microsoft Fabric to enable scalable, secure, and integrated analytics. Work closely with data architects and engineering teams to align with enterprise data standards. Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders on business intelligence features and analytics best practices. Document and maintain technical processes, data flows, and reporting assets for transparency and reproducibility. Perform additional duties requiring similar technical and analytical skills as needed. Shift
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Two years of progressive experience in data analysis or developing solutions in Power BI, Cognos Analytics, and/or other reporting applications. Demonstrated knowledge of data modeling concepts and design techniques. Ability to read and write moderately complex SQL statements. Expanded conceptual knowledge of the data analysis function. Knowledge of best practices within data analytics and applies analytical knowledge developed from work experience. Anticipated Hiring Range
