Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Food Safety Administrative Assistant. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our food safety protocols. Key Responsibilities:

  • Record Keeping and Compliance Documentation:

    • Maintain meticulous records of all food safety measures, audit findings, and corrective actions taken.

    • Ensure all documentation is audit-ready and complies with theFood Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)and other relevant standards3.

  • Collaboration and Teamwork:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of food safety guidelines.

    • Facilitate communication between departments to address food safety concerns proactively.

  • Audit and Inspection Support:

    • Assist in preparing for third-party audits by organizing necessary documentation and coordinating audit logistics4.

    • Support the management during inspections by regulatory bodies, ensuring all requirements are met and processes are transparent5.

  • Training and Education:

    • Coordinate and assist with the delivery of food safety training programs for staff, emphasizing the importance of food safety culture.

    • Update training materials to reflect the latest food safety trends and regulatory changes

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in Food Science, Public Health, or a related field is preferred.

  • Skills and Abilities:

    • Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

    • Ability to liaise with various stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, suppliers, and internal teams.
