The University of Virginia is seeking a Standardized Patient (SP) Coordinator to work in the Clinical Skills Center as a part of the Clinical Performance Education team at the School of Medicine. The SP Coordinator will work with standardized patients, who are laypeople trained to portray various medical conditions during clinical competency assessments of UVA medical students. Under the direction of the CSC Operations Specialist, the SP Coordinator will recruit, interview, and make hiring recommendations for prospective standardized patients. The SP Coordinator/Assistant will coordinate recruitment and assignment of SPs to events in the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and other departments. The SP Coordinator/Assistant will also have administrative responsibilities related to SP onboarding. The SP Coordinator will also serve to assist with assessment and teaching operations during select times. Job Responsibilities:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree required; may consider combination of relevant experience/education/certification in lieu of degree. Experience: 1+ year of relevant experience required. Preferred Qualifications:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. This is a part-time position with a minimum expectation of 20 hours per week. This is an non-exempt-level, benefited position. Learn more about UVA benefits. This is a restricted position, which is dependent on funding and is contingent upon funding availability. This position is based in Charlottesville, VA, and is eligible for a hybrid schedule, in accordance with UVA's remote work guidelines.
