Stop Loss Coordinator

Acara Solutions is seeking a Stop Loss Coordinator in Williamsville, NY!

The Stop Loss Coordinator provides operational and analytical support related to stop loss insurance policies.

Type: Contract till middle of January 2026

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with a hybrid setup - on-site every Tuesday.

Pay Rate: 23-25/HR, DOE

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare both client-facing and internal report
• Analyze benefits in accordance with stop loss policies
• Respond to internal inquiries related to claim status
• Support the management of high-cost medical claims through negotiation with non-participating providers
• Collaborate with cost containment vendors and assist case managers as needed
• Ensure appropriate reimbursement, generate savings reports, and notify reinsurance carriers of high-dollar claims

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years of experience in stop loss, claims operations, financial analytics, customer service, or client services.
• Computer knowledge, including advanced Word and Excel skills. Formulas and formatting skills.

• Associate Degree.
• Self-funded healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of Self-Funded Insurance and Stop Loss insurance.
