This position embodies the Washington Trust Bank culture, by remaining focused on the customer experience in all aspects of their decisions.

The Financial Service Representative provides professional financial advice, guidance and solutions to customer inquiries and problems. Accurately and efficiently opens all branch related products for customers.

Responsibilities may include administrative duties, maintenance of accounts, branch audits, wire processing and teller duties. Must be proficient in bank products, sales and service skills.

Essential Functions



  • Effectively refers customers to other departments, when appropriate.
  • Proactively Maintains current knowledge of Bank products as well as awareness of competitor products and services.
  • Efficiently and accurately opens all branch related products.
  • Participates in outside leads and networking groups.
  • Participates in community organizations and business development activities.
  • Actively manages customers through the sales process.
  • Provides professional financial advice, guidance and solutions to customer inquiries and problems.
  • Works with other bank personnel to proactively meet customer needs in an efficient manner across department lines.
  • May perform teller duties to support the needs of the branch.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while assisting and achieving service expectations.
  • Accountable for compliance with Bank policy & procedures.
  • Conducts other duties as assigned by a manager.
  • Proactively identify and prevent fraud situations.


Qualifications



  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to consistently sell appropriate products & services.
  • Related retail or sales experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize & handle multiple tasks with accurate attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient with computer applications and financial calculations.
  • Required to maintain the security and confidentiality of Bank and customer information.
  • Completion of appropriate Training.
  • May be required to have or obtain a Mortgage Loan Originator registration number through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS)


Pay Range: $21.02 to $31.53 per hour

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Portland, Oregon. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. This position is also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
