This role will be part of a care delivery team offering services across all age ranges in an acute care/urgent care setting that offers up to 23-hour observation. This is a great opportunity to leverage your strong ER or acute care clinical expertise and make a greater impact to patients by enabling you to make critical care decisions with optimum resources and access to key clinical data. The incumbent will be a key member of the continuum of care, supported by and collaborating with our primary care and multi-specialty teammates to reduce hospital admissions when clinically beneficial for the patient. Our practice model provides you with the tools and resources needed to reduce practice stressors, mentorship, and practice enrichment opportunities.

OptumCare Nevada is a multi-specialty group of physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants consisting of over 400 providers, 40+ medical health centers including high acuity urgent care clinics, convenient care centers, lifestyle centers catering to older adults, outpatient surgery centers, plus E-visits and online options via Now Clinic telemedicine technology. OptumCare Nevada offers patients compassion, innovation, and quality care throughout southern Nevada. OptumCare Nevada is headquartered in the greater Las Vegas, NV area.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Rapidly formulate a differential diagnosis from assessments conducted within the clinic setting
* Develop and implement treatment plans for patients that are impaneled or walk-in patients
* Develop and actualize plans for patients in the retail setting
* Provide guidance to support personnel towards treatment plans and care issues
* Document treatment plans in the medical record
* Document collaborative guidance from the physician as needed
* Coordinate care with the patients
* Care for patients from 18 months and older

Required Qualifications:
* NP certification through ANCC or AANP or PA certification or ability to obtain
* Active unrestricted License in NV, or ability to obtain under NP / PA certification and licensing
* 2+ years of NP/PA or combination of NA/PA experience and medic, flight nurse, solid ER or completed SMA clinical internship/rotations experience
* DEA License or ability to obtain
* Basic technical proficiency in the use of computer programs for medical records or Internet search for clinical practice

Preferred Qualifications:
* Clinical experience in retail care, emergency, or urgent care setting
* Knowledge of mental health issues
* Familiarity with Medicare and ICD-10 coding

The salary range for this role is $135,000 to $160,000 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
