The Staff Associate I will work in close collaboration with scientists in the Movement Recovery Laboratory to develop pipelines for analyzing electrophysiological data collected from both rats and humans. These pipelines will include components of signal processing, advanced machine learning, and data visualization.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Data Science and Programming in Python: Experience developing data pipelines, performing analysis, and building tools using Python.



  • Independent and Proactive Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to approach challenges with initiative and minimal supervision.



  • Troubleshooting and Strategy Development: Able to identify issues and devise solutions independently and effectively.



  • Statistical Modeling and Bayesian Inference: Solid understanding and practical application of statistical models, including Bayesian methods.



  • Strong Communication Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities to convey complex scientific and technical information clearly




Required:




  • Bachelor's degree



  • 1- 4 years of related work experience



  • Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access




Preferred (but not required):




  • Ability to draft scientific papers independently with minimal direction or feedback
