Position Summary
Coordinates flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between Warehouse and Shop Floor, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities, and complies and maintains manual or computerized records. LOCATION Requires daily onsite attendance; this is not a remote-work position.
Duties And Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL:
- Receive shipments from Vendors, count, measure, put those away and perform receiving transactions in Syteline, every day.
- Receive and check returns ( RMA's) from customers, count, measure and do proper transactions in the system and inform sales, planning & buyer.
- Arranges materials to meet production schedules and executes inventory transactions as required in ERP System.
- Interfaces with production planning on the completion of work orders for schedule and status updates within company business system.
- Counts, weighs, measures items for incoming & outgoing shipments against purchase orders and sales orders.
- Load / Unload Incoming / Outgoing Material from Vendors and Customer Orders.
- Perform Shipping documentation utilizing: SAIA, FED EX, UPS, etc.
- Issue material to the shop floor.
- Prepares and confirms job orders for outgoing material and product while coordinating transportation requirements for outgoing items with shipping. Ensure to pack the best way to avoid damages during transit.
- Affixes identifying information onto crates, containers, materials or product as required.
- Verifies completeness of inventory pulls by comparing nomenclature and stock numbers with Bill of Materials.
- Take cycle counts and perform analysis of any discrepancy.
- Communicates to the buyer & planner any discrepancy.
- Receives and ships material and products.
- Receives, unpacks and examines Incoming shipments. If material is damaged inform supervisor, buyer & planning personnel.
- Start the process to perform claims with carriers.
- Communicates with production planning, and customer service to resolve part discrepancies.
- Operates lift truck, move materials, load and unload trucks.
- Assists with maintaining warehouse floor inventory and supplies.
- Updates spreadsheets with inventory control data as required.
- Arranges material, products and equipment as required.
- Pack customer sales orders as needed for shipping, avoiding any damage during transit time.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment, observe and follows SAFETY policies, wears appropriate and prescribed personal protective equipment.
- Maintain strong communication with supervisor and others as necessary.
NON-ESSENTIAL:
- Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training.
- Minimum 1 year experience with Syteline and purchasing software, or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year experience entering and extracting information from a Product Data Management database;
- Minimum 1 year experience taking physical Inventories.
- Minimum 1 year experience utilizing 6S and Lean Methodologies.
- Proficiency with MS Office Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position is considered SHOP/OUTDOORS which is characterized as follows:
- Almost exclusively outdoors during the day.
- Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.
- Work surface is stable (flat).
- Frequently working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.
- Humidity is frequently above 90%.
- Noise is over 85 decibels.
- Light is intense/glare.
