The Digital Accessibility Analyst supports UCSF's Digital Accessibility Compliance Project (DACP) - a campuswide initiative ensuring all UCSF digital services and content meet accessibility standards required by University of California policy, California state law, and upcoming federal regulations.

This role partners with stakeholders across UCSF to assess, advise, and improve digital accessibility practices with a focus on usability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compliance reports, technical feedback, and actionable guidance to UCSF content creators and website owners.
  • Troubleshoot digital accessibility issues, offer guidance to content owners, and escalate problems as needed.
  • Review websites, PDFs, videos, software, and applications for compliance with UC policy, UCSF standards, and federal accessibility requirements.
  • Offer accessibility-related branding and design guidance in alignment with UCSF standards.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple incoming requests in a ticket queue, ensuring timely updates and clear communication with the team.
  • Escalate support requests and system performance issues with vendors as needed.

Department Description

UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.

Required Qualifications


  • Minimum of 3+ months front-end web design experience, focusing on accessibility best practices.
  • Minimum of 3+ months experience creating and editing technical documentation.
  • Minimum of 3+ months direct customer experience providing training, guidance, and support.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Intermediate knowledge of related areas of IT.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively; demonstrates strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of accessibility and usability principles for applications, websites, and documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
