The Position The Opportunity

As a Sr Research Associate in the Personalized Healthcare Assay Development Team, you are responsible for conducting research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation as well as other scientific activities to support Ventana projects. You exercise technical expertise and discretion in the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project strategies.

Also, you are:

  • Developing and executing experimental plans, methods, and techniques to support complex project objectives and solve intricate technical challenges.
  • Performing and analyzing bench experiments, making detailed observations, and preparing technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses to drive data-driven decisions.
  • Maintaining and managing accurate records, documenting activities for potential publications or patents, and contributing to scientific conferences or journals.
  • Evaluating and solving complex problems by applying independent judgment and expertise in a wide range of techniques and methodologies.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements and ensuring the laboratory environment operates efficiently and safely while adhering to quality standards.
  • Collaborating and leading cross-functional technical teams, building connections across organizational groups, and contributing to project planning with creative solutions.
  • Mentoring and training team members, supervising junior staff, and sharing expertise across various scientific techniques to support team and organizational growth.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, implementing corrective actions, and continuously promoting a "Quality First Time" mindset throughout laboratory operations.
Who You Are
  • You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Science and 6 years of relevant experience
  • A Master's Degree in Science and 1 year of relevant work experience are preferred. Experience in the product development process is highly preferred

The expected salary range for this position based on Tucson is 68,300.00 - 97,500.00 USD Annual.Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
