JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager, Sourcing shall be responsible for planning and managing the procurement of goods and services, primarily for construction and facility-related programs. Responsible for connecting Growth and Operations with potential suppliers and vendors. Developing procurement strategies, performing market analysis, and managing vendor relationships. The Senior Manager, Sourcing will ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, while working with internal departments to meet the organization's procurement needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sources proposal and program needs, developing bid matrix, making recommendations and leading supplier communications

  • Manages and maintains supplier relationships while creating key supplier relations.

  • Negotiates vendor terms and pricing.

  • Triages supplier performance and delivery issues, ensuring a consistent supply chain

  • Ensure compliance with all organizations' policies and procedures, terms and conditions (T&C's) and legal requirements which will mitigate compliance and risk management during the procurement process

  • Continuously assess and improve procurement processes, implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline operations

  • Promote ethical procurement practices and explore opportunities to enhance sustainability across the supply chain

  • Participate in trade fairs to represent Acuity, connect with market intelligence, and grow Acuity's vendor base

  • Issues purchase orders, negotiate purchase contracts, and create change orders as necessary

  • Manages material warranties and return/exchange processes

  • Works with the Growth department to review pipeline and strategically plan vendor base

  • Manages procurement schedules (coordinating with Logistics and Operations) to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services

  • Develops, runs, and provides reports, metrics, and KPIs as necessary.

  • Creates and adjusts policies and procedures as necessary

  • Leads and attends meeting with different programs to ensure their needs are being met and/or identify solutions to ensure their needs will be met. This can include creating and presenting data and/or presentations.

  • Other duties as necessary for job position

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business or related field and 10+ years of related experience, or 15+ years of relevant experience in procurement with at least 3 years in a leadership role

  • Proven track record of successful vendor negotiations

  • Strong understanding of global supply chains and market dynamics

  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, processes and tools

  • Strong understanding of prime contract requirements, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)

  • Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships internally and externally

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with other functions to identify and solve problems

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Comfortable working with executives and representing functional plans and priorities to senior leaders

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

  • Basic computer skills which also includes the ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional certification: CPPO, CPPB, CACM, CPSM, or other equivalent procurement, supply chain, or construction related certification (CPPO/CPPB preferred).

  • 5 years of experience in public procurement for both goods and services, including complex capital projects.

  • Experience with Deltek CostPoint

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK CONDITIONS

  • Individual may on occasion be required to work non-standard schedule to include weekends and late evenings/early mornings to effectively manage activities and communicate requirements to meet critical deadlines

  • Ability to travel worldwide including austere work environments. Travel is not expected to exceed 10%.
