| Brief Summary of Work for this Position |
The Business Operations Coordinator performs business, fiscal, and administrative work in support of the University Learning Center (
ULC) and its subsidiary support services. The person in this position reviews, revises, and applies policy and procedure, and uses information systems to process and communicate that information. Oversee the day-to-day administrative operational flow of the department, including scheduling, policy, and procedures, coordinating purchases of supplies for the
ULC department. Support special projects for the Director, Assistant Director as assigned.
Duties include:
- Facilitates all business processes and operations of the ULC to ensure continuity of policies and procedures.
- Student employee personnel administration and payroll management.
- Purchasing, inventory control, and space usage planning.
- Monitors and maintains ULC financial resources to meet department objectives; prepares all budget documents and reports.
- Participates in allocating resources, planning, procurement and oversight of budgets to ensure fiscal stability of the ULC.
- Reviews, analyzes, and summarizes information to support continuity of operations and effective decision-making.
- Communicates information to department, colleagues, and students. Communicates orally and in writing, and via electronic media.
- Plans and arranges work operations and objectives in support of ULC business needs.
- Coordinates work with ULC staff, especially administrative professional staff, and provides administrative support and reception back-up as needed.

| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions |
| Preferred education, professional skills and experience |
- Office management experience in a university is preferred.
- Previous experience with Banner Finance and/or Banner Student is preferred.
- Previous experience in higher education is preferred.
- Previous experience in Tutor Trac is preferred.
- Previous experience in Chrome River is preferred.
- Previous experience with developing Excel spreadsheets and gathering data is preferred.
