Commercial Real Estate

Our Commercial Real Estate (CRE) team specializes in CRE lending, providing customized solutions for each client, focusing on helping them achieve their goals. The Commercial Real Estate intern will gain a broad introduction to Commercial Real Estate lending, as well as work on loan deals with the team. This can include:

Credit/Underwriting

Commercial banking is divided into two sub-sectors, commercial real estate lending, which involves financing the acquisitions of properties, and commercial and industrial/community banking loans, which help companies get started, expand, and buy equipment. Peapack Private Credit Risk Management (CRM) is responsible for lending production, underwriting, and closing of investment grade loans and the credit administration of these loan assets thereafter. Loan assets represent an important revenue stream for Peapack Private. This position is located in Bedminster, NJ.



  • Interns will spread and analyze business. Perform due diligence on prospective clients in order to obtain information used in the preparation of analysis. Attend meetings to discuss commercial credit proposals being presented by Loan Officers. Assist in evaluating proposed loans for credit risk and preparation of loan proposals. Perform due diligence on prospective clients in order to obtain information used in the preparation of analysis. Conduct industry analysis, market analysis, property inspections. Attend loan discussion meetings and assist in the management and monitoring activities of the Commercial/Community Banking loan portfolio.


Human Resources

The Human Resources (HR) team provides their expertise to the business in all "people" related aspects. From a potential team member's first interaction during recruitment, to hiring & onboarding, compensation & benefits, career development, payroll, culture and more, HR supports the entire employee life cycle! This position is located in Bedminster, NJ.

Intern duties will include:



  • Coordinating candidate communications
  • Document candidate interactions
  • Revise offer letters, incentive language, candidate emails, etc., to ensure that we are communicating with candidates regularly, ensuring the best possible candidate experience.
  • Assist with process improvements and efficiencies
  • Help recruit candidates, including screening, scheduling interviews and other candidate tracking tasks


Information Technology

Information Technology is a critical part of bank operations across all business lines. IT deploys, manages, and supports the bank's technology solutions. This position is located in Bedminster, NJ.

An Information Technology intern will learn about the various technology platforms and infrastructure used within a bank. Through supporting bank wide technology, an IT intern will have exposure to the processes of many business lines throughout the bank. An IT intern will also work with the IT team on large projects and learn how to support major technology roll outs.


Internal Audit

The Internal Audit intern will assist on audits of financial, operational and information technology. The intern will act as a part of an engagement team and will perform audit testing and documentation. Auditing involves understanding each process under review in depth and this allows the intern unprecedented opportunities to learn about banking operations and the regulatory requirements associated with financial services. This position is located in Bedminster, NJ.


Investment Banking

The Corporate Advisory Summer Analyst supports the Corporate Advisory Group within the Investment Banking Division of Peapack-Gladstone Bank. The Corporate Advisory Group supports middle market clients (revenues between $10 million - $500 million) with M&A, private capital raising, and general corporate finance projects. The summer analyst will have significant client contact and transaction involvement. This position is located in New York City, NY



  • Perform in-depth company and industry research supporting specific client engagements and marketing opportunities
  • Collect and analyze information from relevant internal and external sources
  • Develop financial models with support and supervision from senior analysts and supervisors, including three-statement modelling and valuation assessments using various methodologies
  • Research potential financial and strategic buyers for assignments
  • Help to write with supervision from senior analysts transaction related documentation and marketing materials including but not limited to information memoranda, pitch books, corporate profiles, and market data and analysis
  • Help to organize investment banking CRM systems and coordinate marketing campaigns
  • Develop working knowledge of key financial data bases and systems such as Capital IQ, Pitchbook, and DealCloud
  • Act within professional, ethical, legal, and risk boundaries and guidelines


NY Banking Team

Our banking teams provide a white glove hospitality experience to our clients in all aspects of their relationship with Peapack Private. This position is located in New York City, NY.

Supporting a banking team can include:



  • Work directly with the Senior Managing Director & Managing Director in certain client facing matters, such as prospecting, learn about deal flow for new/pending deals, & prep work for any new prospects/clients.
  • Analyze Financial Statements & assist in preparing full package for underwriting new loans
  • Sit in on client facing meetings to understand how the foundational principles are presented & understand the methodology behind needs-based selling
  • Managing Rent Security Escrow Account processes
  • Review Positive Pay and ACH reports daily. If our client is on the report, we will reach out to client before we receive the daily email.
  • Schedule TM training for both new and existing clients- which we also attend via Zoom


Personal Banking Operations

The Personal Banking Operations Intern will support the Operations team in process improvement, project coordination, and data analysis. This role offers hands-on exposure to banking operations and builds transferable skills aligned with project management and operational analysis. The intern will gain experience in creating and refining documentation, analyzing workflow data, and assisting with projects that enhance efficiency, compliance, and client experience. This position is located in Bedminster, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist in reviewing, updating, and standardizing internal procedure documents and job aids.
  • Track project deliverables, milestones, and timelines in project logs or tracking tools.
  • Assist with creating project status updates, dashboards, or summaries for leadership review.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, capture notes, and follow up on assigned action items.
  • Support cross-functional coordination by gathering input from multiple departments.
  • Assist with building simple reports, charts, or presentations to communicate findings.
  • Support the implementation of corrective process actions and process refinements.


Platinum Service Team

The Platinum Service Team consists of individuals with varied banking experience. We open accounts for and service the bank's high-net worth client base across all of the bank's various divisions. This position is located in Bedminster, NJ.

Interns will be exposed to bankers from all divisions as well as the Treasury Management teams, Deposit Operations, Lending and Loan Ops as well as the bank's executive team through meetings and conference calls. Interns will assist the team in opening new accounts, the KYC process, coordinating with Treasury Management and other Ops teams to ensure the client has the services they require. They would also learn about the bank's product offerings and day-to-day business like wire transfers, client correspondence, compliance and audit guidelines, and the team's approach to white-glove service. The Platinum Service Team intern would also be responsible for completing documentation request for Enhanced Due Diligence from compliance as well as client experience projects for the team.


Wealth

Our Wealth Management division includes investment management services provided for individuals and institutions; personal trust services, including services as executor, trustee, administrator, custodian and guardian, and other financial planning, tax preparation and advisory services. Our internship opportunity supports the Investment Management team. The intern will gain an understanding of the wealth management process and how the research and execution of portfolios/plans intertwine with one another. This position is located in Bedminster, NJ.

Intern duties would include



  • Performing equity, ETF and mutual fund research
  • Creating, tracking and assisting in implementing Investment Policy Statements for High net worth clients
  • Organize and execute special projects include securities analysis across large cap equities, mutual funds, exchange traded funds, and others
  • Participate in daily investment calls and perform market research, as needed
