Mathematics Assistant Teaching Professor The Mathematics Department at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics to begin on September 1, 2026. This is a two-year initial appointment with the possibility of renewal. The responsibilities include teaching 24 units of introductory math courses per academic year, advising majors, and participating in university activities such as math assessments, curriculum development, admissions events, and student success initiatives. The candidate must have a proven record of teaching core courses, including elementary statistics, discrete mathematics, single- and multi-variable calculus, and differential equations, to a diverse group of science and engineering students. Minimum Qualifications: * Ph.D. in mathematical sciences, a related field, or mathematics education at the time of appointment Preferred Qualifications: * Experience utilizing technology, including computer algebra systems such as Mathematica and MATLAB, or other software for teaching mathematics, such as R and Python.
