In the Health and Social Services Manager role, you will lead a team of Health and Social Services Coordinators, while overseeing day-to-day clinical operations in the state of New Jersey, and participating in business development activities. You will manage a program or region, including team and performance management, process improvement, and standardized execution of clinical decision processes, and implementation of new program initiatives. Also complying with contractual requirements and ensuring member needs are met.

If you are located in New Jersey and willing to travel up to 25% of your time to Southern Counties in New Jersey, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Selects, manages, develops, mentors, and supports staff in designated department or region
  • Develops clear goals and objectives for performance management and effectively communicates expectations and holds the team accountable for results
  • Engaged in performance improvement initiatives to optimize clinical workflows, promote team engagement, and continuously improve care management of health plan members
  • To meet the unique needs of our members, have an intimate understanding of the contractual requirements
  • Identify, select, structure, and prioritize projects, ultimately implementing changes to meet program requirements
  • Ensures standardized execution of workflow processes, including conducting performance audits, quality reviews, and compliance adherence
  • Collaborate with Provider Relations team to assist in resolution of issues presented by providers
  • Conduct staff training and coaching of direct reports as needed
  • Conduct bi-annual field visits with direct reports to observe, provide areas of teaching, address issues and concerns and foster a good working relationship
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • 5+ years of clinical experience
  • 3+ years of leadership experience with responsibility for team performance
  • Proven intermediate MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Driver's license and access to reliable transportation and the ability to travel up to 25% within assigned territory to meet with employees, members, and providers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current LSW or RN license in the state of New Jersey
  • NJ Choice Master Trainer certification
  • Case management experience
  • Experience/exposure with Developmental Disabilities (DD)
  • Experience in utilization review, concurrent review and/or risk management
  • Background in Medicare/Medicaid

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
