Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Chemical Site in Tomball, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a chemical or petrochemical location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, helping to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service. This is an armed post where you will leverage your skills in access control, communication, and professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations within a chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and protect assets in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to report and document observations of security-related incidents or unusual activity.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as required by site protocols, including incidents involving hazardous materials specific to the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Level III Armed Certification is required for positions in Texas only.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
