Job Description




As a Security Professional - Mall Patrol Driver in Leawood, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for guests and employees. Your presence and regular patrols help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for patrolling by vehicle in addition to foot patrols. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately during emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall environment, including both interior common areas and exterior perimeters, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe for signs of disorder, hazards, or potential security-related issues while on patrol, and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Assist in controlling access to restricted areas within the location and help to direct visitors or customers as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with property management staff, local law enforcement, and/or emergency responders during incidents or drills.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
  • Support a welcoming atmosphere in the retail or mall environment by providing directions, information, and assistance to visitors and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
