We are looking for a Human Resources Manager in 401 N Michigan Ave, Suite 1400, Chicago, IL 60611 USA. Your mission will be to:
The Human Resources Manager provides both strategic and hands-on leadership for designated sites / business units and/or HR services. This role partners with site and functional leaders to implement people strategies that drive engagement, strengthen organizational capability, and support business objectives. The HR Manager leads a team or directly delivers HR services across employee relations, performance management, talent development, data systems management, and compliance. This role ensures HR programs and processes are executed consistently, equitably, and in compliance with applicable laws and policies. The HR Manager champions a culture of accountability and continuous improvement while supporting the growth and development of employees and leaders.
YOUR PROFILE
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
7-10 years of progressive HR experience, including multi-site or client group responsibility.
Demonstrated experience advising leaders on employee relations, performance, and organizational effectiveness.
Strong knowledge of U.S. (and, if applicable, Canadian) employment laws and HR best practices.
Proven ability to influence, coach, and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and change management skills.
Proficiency with HRIS systems and comfort using data to inform decisions.
2-5 years of experience directly leading a team.
Qualifications Desired
Master's degree in HR or Business-related field.
HR certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CHRL or equivalent).
Experience working in a matrixed or manufacturing/laboratory environment.
Strong analytical and project management skills.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership: Partner with site and functional leaders to execute people strategies that align with business goals.
Employee Relations: Provide guidance on complex employee relations issues, investigations, and disciplinary actions to ensure fairness and compliance.
Talent Development: Support leadership development, performance management, and succession planning processes.
Recruitment & Onboarding: Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract and onboard top talent.
Engagement & Culture: Lead programs that promote engagement, retention, recognition, and a culture of accountability and belonging.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and company policies.
Change Management: Support organizational changes through effective planning, communication, and coaching.
Data & Reporting: Use HR metrics and analytics to identify trends, recommend solutions, and measure impact.
Collaboration: Work closely with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and HR peers to ensure consistent and effective program delivery.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes and improve employee experience.
Other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Operates in a professional office and laboratory environment.
Uses standard office equipment including computers, phones, and video conferencing tools.
May require extended hours during key project or audit periods.
Travel
Travel up to 20%, primarily US & Canada, to supported sites and HR meetings.
Compensation Package Overview:
Compensation Range $120,00 - $135,00 annual salary USD
Potential bonus: Up to 10% based on performance.
