Revenue Reporting Accounting Advisor

The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as a trusted advisor for revenue reporting and accounting matters, providing expert guidance and oversight across oil and gas revenue activities. This role leads and mentors team members while performing detailed revenue analysis, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and consistent application of policies. The Revenue Reporting Accounting Advisor partners closely with crossfunctional teams to resolve complex revenue issues, support audits, and drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and controls.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and support for the coordination and timely completion of monthend revenue close activities
  • Perform firstlevel review of revenue vouchers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies prior to posting in SAP
  • Serve as a key liaison with Production, Division Order, and Operational teams to ensure alignment on revenue reporting matters
  • Ensure all revenue distribution deadlines are met and proactively address potential risks or delays
  • Support the development and enhancement of workflow processes to promote efficiency, consistency, and strong internal controls
  • Lead and assist with ad hoc projects and special initiatives related to revenue reporting, analysis, and process improvement
  • Communicate effectively to research, escalate, and resolve complex or crossfunctional revenue and operational issues
  • Prepare and review monthly revenuerelated account reconciliations as needed, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BBA or BS) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields
  • A minimum of ten (10+) years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of revenue accounting, production, and general accounting principles
  • Demonstrated experience in MS Excel, including skills creating and configuring XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Sum IF formulas

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of eight (8+) years of relevant experience with an Oil & Gas upstream company
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, recommending, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities and daily work assignments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • High attention to detail combined with strong analytical, problemsolving, and collaborative skills
