Under the direction of and reporting to Senior Manager, Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, partner with manufacturing sites to drive data and traceability initiatives in battery manufacturing. The Sr Analytics Engineer will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of data and traceability projects within our battery manufacturing operations. This role will involve close collaboration with our global teams in Asia, Europe, and North America. In addition, this role requires a strong background in manufacturing processes, data management, and project leadership.

Specific duties include:

Project Management Skills:

  • Act as point of contact for battery New Product Development (NPD) teams on traceability, providing direction, guidance and expertise to team members

  • Facilitate project flow involving regular contact with engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams when necessary

  • Excellent verbal and written communication to make formal presentations regarding project status to team and management

  • Provide input with cross-functional teams of baseline staffing and skillset required as related to the operational complexity of the process

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a global team environment and challenge status quo with respect to drive the best solutions for the business

  • Lead operations milestone delivery through the NPD process

Manufacturing Data / Traceability Skills:

  • Preferred knowledge and experience in production manufacturing assembly processes

  • Preferred knowledge and experience in data connectivity, traceability, and data analysis

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, quality, IT, and others to develop a strategy for data acquisition and traceability

  • Partner with battery NPD project teams to develop a roadmap for traceability and data acquisition for new production lines

  • Support data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by partnering with cross-functional teams to enforce data governance policies

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for project support and development. Estimated yearly travel: 20%-30%

  • Ability to interpret and learn the current and future state technologies used in the manufacturing space

  • Ability to be interactive "hands on" with each upcoming engineering project

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Data Science, or a related field preferred

  • Proven experience in project management within a manufacturing environment

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in related role

  • Basic understanding of data concepts, programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python), and data systems (e.g., databases, ETL pipelines) within an operations or manufacturing environment is required

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
