The Tooling, Process & Training team is responsible for the development and scaling of service and commissioning hardware and processes to enable rapid development and maintenance of Tesla Energy's global storage and charging solutions. This skilled and motivated individual will keep pushing this evolving energy industry forward by collaborating with design, process, and field teams to resolve servicing pain points, owns solution propagation, develop cost-of-service models via data analysis and audits, and maintain standards for service tracking software.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate and communicate with product design, process engineers, field service teams via program management to reduce pain points in servicing the product
- Own resolution of key pain points and the propagation of engineered solutions between the engineering and field service teams
- Develop and communicate the cost of service for design decisions via data analysis/modeling, ROI calculations, trials, and field audits
- Own service tracking software standards for accurate tracking of work completed
- Create new procedures for improving service time, safety and service experience for current and next generation Tesla energy products
What You'll Bring
- A good mix of mechanical/electrical and process engineering skills
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Data Science Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of product design/integration experience or service/engineering support
- A continual tinkerer, modifier, and optimizer of systems
- An understanding of data analytics relating to ROI, failure analysis, and efficiency using Python, Excel or SQL
- Knowledge of implementing and using AI tools for finding trends, gaps, and automation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Adaptable to fast-paced projects with aggressive timelines and shifting priorities, with team support and mentorship provided
- Ability to travel to commissioning/service sites, and Giga factories 10-15% of the time

Expected Compensation
$106,400 - $206,520/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
