Manheim is on a journey to evolve our digital marketplaces - Manheim.com and OVE.com - for both our buyers and sellers. The Strategic Planning Sr Manager will be a hands-on cross-functional leader focused on serving as the business owner for seller and / or buyer-focused efforts. This individual will strive to deliver seamless seller and / or buyer experiences that drive incremental volume across Manheim's One Marketplace.

This role will develop the end-to-end seller and / or buyer strategy and implement that strategy cross-functionally. In addition, The Senior Manager will partner across CAI, including but not limited to: Sales, Operations, Product, CADS, OPEX, Assurance, Decision Support, Mobile Inspections, Remote Dealer Services, Trade Desk, and physical auction teams. This individual will be comfortable leading with little oversight in ambiguous or new situations where innovative approaches may be required, or the solution may require challenging legacy ways of working.

This position will not initially have direct reports, however future team management is possible.

Location: Hybrid (Atlanta, GA candidates highly preferred) - flexible within the U.S. - Travel: 0-25%

Responsibilities & Experience:

General Responsibilities

  • Develops robust strategies that thoughtfully consider the buyer and / or seller, the front line, long-term business impact, culture, & strategic fit
  • Model impact and synthesize into decisionready recommendations for senior leaders
  • Exhibits practical and efficient critical thinking and analysis whether considering long-term strategic decisions or short-term tactical challenges
  • Translate strategy into executable plans with business plans, milestones, owners, and KPIs
  • Lead change - align stakeholders and enable teams with clear written and verbal communications across customer, partners, and executives
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives and workstreams with the right balance of speed, discipline, measurement, and tolerance for risk
  • Measure and report results, codify learnings, and iterate
  • Maintain an active role with clients to ensure high quality service and products
  • Represents Manheim professionally in every interaction
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and positivity


Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years of relevant experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 12 years' experience in a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience with consulting, continuous improvement, project management, or other relevant disciplines highly preferred
  • Proven ability to influence and to collaborate at the highest levels of corporate management
  • Experience in the automotive, marketplace, or wholesale auto auction industry preferred
  • Experience in defining a strategic vision in high-ambiguity environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, large-scale initiatives and projects
  • Demonstrated record of outstanding success within an organization where innovation, collaboration and customer service are high priorities
  • Able to work effectively with teams throughout organization thanks to excellent interpersonal, leadership, executive presence, and collaborative skills
  • Demonstrated business judgement and decision-making skills in high-stakes environments
  • Other duties as needed or required
  • Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements


USD 131,600.00 - 219,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $131,600.00 - $219,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
