UCSD is home to San Diego's most comprehensive care program for patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and is a worldwide leader in ALS clinical research. The ALS Clinical Research Program (ACT) is the epicenter of such research at UCSD including sponsor funded and investigator-initiated clinical trials. The Academic Program Management Officer oversees all administrative research operations, able and willing to conduct research, writes grants, understands and helps monitor finance, human resources and facilities for program. Independently oversees a moderately sized academic or research program and represents the program to outside organizations. Assists with the design and development of academic or research program components and administers the full range of the program components and operational requirements; administrative, finance, human resources, and facilities for the academic or research program. Works with faculty on formulating short-term planning and procedures of the programs. Develops and organizes conferences and other public forums. Works under direction of Principal Investigator to establish center agenda, funding, objectives. Performs other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
 
 
 Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $108,100 - $204,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $51.77 - $98.13 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
