Job Title: Mazak Laser Operator Location: Richfield, WI Department: Manufacturing/Production Salary: $24-$29.00/hour Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Mazak Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate Mazak laser cutting machines to produce high-quality components with precision and efficiency. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of laser cutting processes, safety standards, and metal fabrication techniques. Key Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and monitor Mazak laser cutting machines to cut, shape, and fabricate metal components according to specifications. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to ensure accurate production. Program Mazak laser equipment and make adjustments as needed for optimal performance. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to maintain safe and efficient operation. Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications; report any discrepancies. Collaborate with production team members to meet daily output and quality goals. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains. Qualifications: Proven experience operating Mazak laser cutting machines or similar CNC laser equipment. Strong knowledge of metal fabrication and laser cutting processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC operation is a plus. Preferred Skills: Experience with programming Mazak lasers. Knowledge of sheet metal handling and processing. Familiarity with ISO or other quality standards in manufacturing. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move materials up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
