Astrion/MEIS is seeking an Electrical Engineer Drafter to join our Space Systems division. MEIS (an Astrion subsidiary) supports NASA Ames Research Center Electrical Power Reliability Office (EPrO). EPrO has been set up to provide electrical power system protection in areas including arc flash calculation, relay coordination, relay programming, settling, calibration, maintenance for NASA Ames electrical distribution systems.

EPrO manages the NASA Ames electrical distribution systems and uses SKM software, perform short circuit calculations and relay coordination, arc flash calculations and arc flash labels, relay programing and setting, Relays calibrations and maintenance, EPrO database and updating/baseline drawings. Astrion is looking for an Electrical Engineer Drafter.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Update baseline drawings
• Update to the EPrO database
• Present work progress to EPrO monthly meeting.
• Qualification: Minimum of 5-year experiences in SEL microprocessor relay, electromechanical and solid-state relays calibration and setting. Arc flash calculation using SKM software.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Minimum of 5-year's experience in AutoCad and database systems
• Understanding of NASA Ames Electrical Power System
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Onsite 5-days a week or as required
