Required Certifications


Certifications required by IA for higher-level access to SQL

- Security Plus Certification required and

- Computing Environment Certification (SQL 2019 or later)

Or - MS certifications: DP-900 Azure Data Fundamentals or DP-203 Azure Data Engineer would be acceptable.

3-5 years' experience developing and troubleshooting MS SQL Server databases, SQL Agent Jobs, and SSIS Packages.

Experience with Power BI, SSRS or Tableau. They'll need to be able to generate complex queries and reports for users.

Must have experience producing reports using Power BI.

Expert knowledge of high-level computer programming and scripting languages. Needed for SSIS packages.

Basic knowledge of MS SQL Server stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

SQL Programming, specifically with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) so he/she can create packages/reports and modify existing packages/reports.

Experience creating data visualization and dashboards with SSRS.

Must have knowledge in designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing software. Required experience should include developing client-server and ASP.net web applications. Experience maintaining programs, which are developed by other programmers.

Experience with stored procedures, views, agent jobs and SSIS packages in support of SQL reports and visualization development.

Experience in integral to mapping existing tables against stored procedures, agent jobs, SSIS packages, and existing SSRS reports to facilitate updates.

DUTIES

The Sql Database Developer/Engineer will provide
technical guidance/support to Enhanced Multi-Service Market (eMSM) Offices, Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF), Business Operation Division (BOD) and Managed Care Support Contractors (MCSC) to solicit potential opportunities to increase direct care and network capability and reduce private sector health care costs.

Develop/maintain business case analysis tools to coordinate standardization of data collection/analysis. Coordinates data requirements with DHA, MTFs, eMSMs, and MCSCs to ensure uniformity and consistency in how management information is used in investment analysis and initiative performance assessment. Works with various stakeholders to ensure business initiatives align with the overall Services' plans and contribute to the Military Health System (MHS) goals.

Maintain and develop standard operating procedures and a library of codes for data integrity. Documents database structure, including table elements, naming conventions, data dictionary definitions, field sizes, and table relationships. Data Quality activities include all efforts involved in monitoring, collecting, integrating, synchronizing, reporting, and assessing the business impact of poor data quality.

Develop and present detailed briefings for stakeholders, analysts, and senior management.

Analyze requirements and capabilities, assist users in defining needs and designing products, design and schedule projects, perform complex team assignments, and provide guidance and assistance to analyst team members and supervisors.

Investigate, analyze, and resolve a variety of user problems, questions, and situations that may require substantial effort, knowledge, and skill.

Work closely with system administrators to install, configure, and optimize database engines and tools for data analysis, data transfer, messaging, and scheduled jobs.

Run database integrity checks and analyze results to identify issues.

Perform on-call duty on evenings, weekends, and holidays to provide guidance and support to customer support technicians on the resolution of program/application problems and/or failures and may be required to return to the work site to resolve critical problems. Contractor shall submit overtime documentation to the first-line supervisor for review, and the Government will then send the documentation to COR for approval.
