TWB is excited to be hiring a Quality Technician. The Quality Technician follows basic quality techniques. This role is responsible for daily dispositions and engages with production staff. The role tests, analyzes, and reports on materials, processes, and products to ensure quality standards are achieved. Promotes, upgrades, and supports continuous quality improvements.

Responsibilities

* Accurate inspection and analysis of results to internal & customer requirements.
* Timely data entry to ensure material on hold is properly identified and realized.
* Basic reports to summarize data with reference to basic quality techniques.
* Interaction with production staff and documentation of results.
* Promote safety to all team members, customers, and suppliers.
* Operate PC-based software programs, including but not limited to: Motic Images, Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Assist in the training of operators in the use of gages. Verify that operators are using gages and checking tools properly.
* Ensure operators are following inspection criteria and documenting inspections in a timely manner.
* Conduct Olsen Cup, Macro, Shear Profiles and Destruct testing.
* Use of work instructions and understanding of dimension tolerances.
* Conduct sort and rework of suspect material following sort and rework instructions and documenting results.
* Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience

* Follow basic quality techniques to track, analyze, audit and report on materials, products, and processes.
* Use variable and/or attribute measurement devices to ensure compliance to organizational and customer quality standards.
* Enter scrap, rework, rejection, claim and inspection data.
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* Experience or knowledge is use of Quality testing equipment including but not limited to: depth gage, calipers, micrometer, tape measure, and product gages.
* At least three (3) years of related work experience is preferred.
* Previous quality inspection experience preferred.
* Must have a professional demeanor.
* Must have good interpersonal skills.
* Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* General understanding of product defects.
