ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
* Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluation and treatment for infants in a Level IV NICU, including extremely premature and critically ill neonates
* Implement developmentally supportive, neuroprotective, and positioning-based interventions
* Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other specialists to develop individualized care plans
* Support parent/caregiver education regarding positioning, handling, development, and transition to home
* Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care
* Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and evidence-based practice initiatives within the NICU
* Document care accurately and efficiently in compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
Minimum Qualifications
- EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- EXPERIENCE - Two years of professional experience as physical therapist
- CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR and maintained criteria for Physical Therapist II and obtained requirements listed in the Career Advancement Program guidelines.
- LICENSURE - State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Physical Therapist license; Credentialing must be completed by the Medical Staff Office (MSO) within 3 months of employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU
- Inpatient acute care/Rehab experience
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Commitment to family-centered and trauma-informed care
Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $84,558.69 to $126,838.03
