RN - Pre-op/PACU - Mercy SD

This is a Full Time, benefited 12 hour day shift (0800-1000) RN position at our Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego. This role will mostly work in PACU but occasionally in PreOp as well. There is call on weekends and night and day.

As an RN in the Pre-Op/PACU you will be responsible for:

• pre-anesthesia preparation and observation and maintenance during the procedure
• monitoring and caring for patients are they are coming out of sedation after surgery.
• Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes
• Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Required:

• One (1) year of recent RN experience in an acute care setting
• California Registered Nurse License
• Current BLS, ACLS from American Heart Association certifications
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing

• PACU and ICU hospital experience is strongly preferred
