Summary
Manager, Category Solutions
The Manager, Category Solutions diagnoses and solves business challenges, creating strategic solutions through subject matter expertise, trend application, and syndicated tools through a Private Brand lens for categories at retail. This role requires the ability to become a subject matter expert in a particular area of retail where the associate understands what data is available to build a compelling, data driven story. Responsibilities
Creates insight driven presentations with actionable tactics and strategies; develops creative presentations with an eye toward story-telling, focused on flow, visualizations and headlines
Utilizes a broad range of data sources, metrics, tools, and analytics to identify trends and present insights to customers and clients Demonstrates a student of the business mindset to develop and maintain expertise around categories, private brands, retailers, and the retail industry; develops unique perspectives on retail, consumer, and private brands through the creation of leading and predictive insights through a private brand industry and category lens Demonstrates a sense of urgency and executes projects on time, effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously, and understanding priorities of working on the right projects at the right time
Qualifications
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree (Graduate degree preferred) Experience Requirements: 4-6 years experience in relevant field (Food or CPG industry experience preferred) Travel requirement: No travel requirements
Supervisor Responsibility Direct Reports: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports Indirect Reports: Does not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports Required Knowledge and Skills
Expertise in retail, CPG, private brands, and consumer trends Exposure to category planning, category strategy, product development, and/or innovation Ability to balance the big picture and attention to detail Ability to deliver projects with excellence while flexing to changing business needs Team player who can balance working autonomously while engaging the right stakeholders at the right time throughout project development Confident communicator with solid oral, written, and presentation skills with capability to develop a compelling story

Environmental & Physical Requirements Office / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically, requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may require the ability to lift up to 10lbs.
