Job Summary

In collaboration with project team, executes experiments & studies, modifies protocols, selects appropriate methods of analysis, interprets results and supports to define the next steps in the experimental process; possesses an understanding of materials, substances, production processes to utilize available equipment and instrumentation in order to conduct process or experimental work; selects appropriate methods of analysis, interprets results and support to define the next steps in the experimental process; starts to take appropriate risks in developing solutions to non-routine problems; understands and identifies problems due to changing priorities or differing situations with coaching.

Role Overview

As a Senior Operator I in Manufacturing Technology, you will collaborate with project teams to execute experiments and process studies. You'll apply scientific and engineering principles to optimize production processes, interpret results, and contribute to innovative solutions. This role requires a hands-on approach, technical curiosity, and a willingness to take calculated risks in solving non-routine challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct experiments and process studies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Modify protocols and select appropriate analytical methods.
  • Interpret experimental data and support next-step recommendations.
  • Utilize lab equipment and instrumentation effectively.
  • Apply scientific and engineering methodologies to technical development tasks.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues arising from shifting priorities or complex situations.
  • Conduct literature and patent searches to support innovation and documentation.
  • Prepare informal reports and contribute to presentations for project leaders.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of materials, substances, and production processes.
  • Ability to apply the scientific method or engineering design process.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of business strategy and how technology supports it.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow with coaching and guidance.
