Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

  • Work on compensation consulting projects for emerging businesses, public entities, and Fortune 500 companies
  • Partner with consultants who have years of compensation consulting experience and generate millions of dollars in revenue for CBIZ
  • Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of base and incentive pay, as well as executive compensation programs
  • Conduct market analyses to assess competitive compensation: select appropriate published surveys, match actual job duties to published survey duties, and compile, analyze and update data
  • Design competitive salary ranges for entire organizations and develop pay administration policies and procedures
  • Practically apply classroom learning to a professional business environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a possible concentration in accountancy, economics, finance, human resource management or management
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to multi-task, think independently and problem-solve in a results-driven team-oriented environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Strong computer and technical skills including, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet
  • Microsoft Excel expertise
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively prioritize tasks to meet client deadlines

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • In pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field associated with the CBIZ business models
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 preferred
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Active participation in student organizations and work experience in related field a plus
