This Position reports to:

Modernization Operations Manager
Your role and responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible for leading a team within the parts and components unit in the execution of production processes to ship inventoried parts, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely, cost-effective manner. Your role would be to ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, quality and safety standards and policies, in our Electrification Service facility in Florence, SC.

This is an on-site position based in Florence, SC.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Production & Resource Management: Oversees resource allocation, production scheduling, and execution to meet volume, quality, and delivery targets while optimizing capacity and minimizing delays in inventory and subassembly processes.
  • Operations & Continuous Improvement: Identifies and resolves production deficiencies and critical line issues, recommends equipment and facility upgrades, and implements performance improvement initiatives.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Ensures proper staffing, training, and development of team members, manages employee performance, and fosters a safe, zero-incident work culture in collaboration with HR and EHS.
  • Strategic Planning & Problem Solving: Plans work to meet customer commitments, manages budgets, resolves complex technical and HR issues, and drives cost-effective utilization of staff and equipment through innovative approaches.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of experience or High School Diploma and 12 years of related experience
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
  • Previous leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of supply chain insourcing and outsourcing decisions and process
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
  • Advanced understanding of excel and other database tools
  • Strong ERP experience (SAP).
  • Experience in organizational change and change management
