(This role has a hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days flex-remote)

The UHS Human Resources Department is hiring a Director HR Operations to support the Division VP of HR - Behavioral Health, Division Director of HR - Acute Care, and the Corporate Director of Human Resources in execution of HR strategy.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supports the Division VP of HR - Behavioral Health, Division Director of HR - Acute Care, and the Corporate Director of Human Resources in the delivery of HR services to align HR practices with Facility and Company business needs. Works with divisional, regional, and corporate leaders in HR across all divisions to ensure development of strong organizational cultures
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of new HR Directors/HR Staff for all divisions and facilitate on-going development through group activities/sessions and periodic audits
  • Provide functional HR training across the organization to include HR systems, regulatory, HR competencies, and HR policy interpretation related to system transactions and employee data integrity
  • Lead and coordinate HR project management initiatives across multiple divisions, including the performance management process and HR internal communications, to ensure timely and effective implementation of HR strategies, enhance interdepartmental collaboration, and support organizational objectives
  • Conduct screening interviews for Facility HRD positions ensuring technical and organizational fit
  • Assist HR Leaders in employee relations issues, compliance investigations, and appeal process for internal disputes pursuant to Dispute Resolution policy
  • Design and implements competency training programs for HRDs based upon metrics and needs
    Conducts periodic needs assessment to align corporate HR priorities with Hospital business needs

Qualifications

Master's degree preferred with 10+ years' experience in a professional HR role, preferably in a healthcare setting.

  • A professional certification (or equivalent) such as SHRM or HRCI is highly preferred
  • Must have strong HR generalist background to assist with special projects assignments (e.g., to facilitate field HR operational efficiency, competency development for field HRDs, etc.)
  • 5 years prior work experience in an HR management capacity
  • Must maintain sensitive employee information as confidential
  • Must have general knowledge of compensation practices and, also, knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws
  • Must have prior experience managing high volume full cycle recruitment process
  • Must be responsive in managing issues that require timely management/oversight
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Thorough knowledge of labor relations and union avoidance tactics
  • Must have knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., Lawson, iCIMS, HealthStream, RAS reporting, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), etc.
