TITLE: Production Coordinator Lead



POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Extrusion Production Coordinator oversees the extrusion process, managing staff, ensuring quality and efficiency, and maintaining production schedules. Key responsibilities include leading and developing personnel, supervising machine operations, managing raw materials, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications typically requires supervisory experience, and strong technical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Requires the ability to perform simple arithmetic functions consistently and accurately to include but not limited to the following: percentages, proportions, mass, volume, run rates, averages and gauge readings.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Detail-orientation and the ability to multitask
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the extrusion process to ensure production targets are met.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop extrusion operators and supervisors, providing guidance and performance management.
  • Implement and enforce quality standards, ensuring that extruded products meet specifications and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of extrusion equipment, troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
  • Identify and implement strategies for improving efficiency, reducing waste, and increasing productivity within the extrusion department.
  • Champion a safety culture, ensuring adherence to all relevant safety standards and protocols.



WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme heat and high noise levels. Working on open air secured floor is also required.
