Job Information:

Reporting to the Applications Manager and supervised by the Senior EDI Specialist, the Electronic Data Interchange Analyst is an expert in Data Exchange. They will assist with coordination, implementation and management of all EDI related solutions for the organization. They will support the technical aspects of the EDI platforms and work with various business segments and departments throughout the company to resolve issues and optimize the EDI functionality. They will collaborate externally with vendors and customers to create new interfaces and trading relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all ECommerce programs are up to date, running smoothly and efficiently
  • Ensure all Ariba Trading Partnership Requests and Questionnaires are responded to in a timely fashion and have appropriate approvals
  • Set up all users under the appropriate accounts in Ariba and Ecommerce catalogs
  • Process all updates for ECommerce catalogs (static and punchout)
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement new processes to streamline EDI functionality
  • Assist with EDI documentation, including guidelines, maps, processes, and procedures as they pertain to the role
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure the EDI applications meet the needs of the organization
  • Manages resolution of EDI related issues to minimize overall impact on the organization
  • Responsible for monitoring the EDI environment to ensure the highest level of operational performance
  • Work closely with internal business users and customers on trading relationship projects and updates
  • Consults with and obtains approval for business application changes
  • Adhere to company standards and policies
  • Assist in other various IT projects as required
  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior EDI Specialist or Applications Manager in support of the business

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in EDI development
  • Excellent project management and organization skills
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments
  • Certifications that are a plus: EDI Certification
  • Preferred experience with: Ariba, P21, ION, CSD, APIs, X12, XSLT, AS2, FTP/SFTP

  • Occasionally loud noise (examples: shop tool noises, electric motors, moving mechanical equipment)

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment with flexibility for hybrid work. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers are used. Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required.
