Keep service truck, tools, and equipment in good working order. Assists with training of other technicians. Must be able to perform load testing, warranty repairs, and startups based off manufactures requirements. Performs other duties as assigned by manager. Primary Job Responsibilities: 
 
 
     
 Performs maintenance and repairs on generators and associated controlsCompletes service reports dailyUpdates and reviews personal knowledge of all changes and variations of the generators and controls sold and serviced by WPIAttends service schools and training programs offered by WPIWilling to assist training of newly hired techniciansPerform weekly truck inspections as requiredMust be able to research and put tougher quote information accurately for Product Support Rep Perform other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 
 
     
 Must have a minimum of 5 years previous experienceG.E.D. or High School DiplomaMust be able to work and learn from othersMust have a mechanical and/or electrical aptitudeMust have an aptitude to learn to read simple wiring schematics and learn to wire circuitsMust be able to supply your own toolsTrade school or special training preferred

 Must have a working knowledge of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its' objectives
 
     
 Must meet goals and objectives set forth by the companyMust conform to company policies and procedures set forth by the companyMust have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record per WPI requirementsMust be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements as outlined by WPIMust be computer literate, a Windows based environment preferred (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook)Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend and twist several times dailyMust be able work on generators/engines from oil changes to major repairsMust maintain the service truck, tools, and equipment in good working orderMust have the ability to work flexible hours and daysMust be dependable and able to work independentlyMust be always courteous and maintain good client relationsMust promote and maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environmentMust meet minimum performance standards for all assignmentsMust protect the company assets and interests
 
 
 Working Conditions and Physical Demands: 
 
     
 Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Overtime and weekend hours as necessary.Outside work.Continued employment in the position of Generator Tech Journeyman and future advancement will be contingent on your ability to learn from WPI and manufacturer sponsored training classes. Failure to complete and pass these training classes could prevent future advancement.
