About The Role We're looking for a highly skilled and technically driven Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to strengthen our supply chain by ensuring components and materials consistently meet the highest quality standards. You'll play a key role in improving supplier performance through data-driven analysis, hands-on collaboration, and a strong understanding of quality systems and regulatory requirements. You'll need a sharp focus, a structured mindset, and the ability to thrive under pressure while keeping multiple projects on track. You'll work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and third-party partners to drive quality improvements and support operational excellence. What You'll Do
- Analyze internal production quality data to identify high-impact part issues, develop a Pareto chart, and lead targeted improvement efforts with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure all supplier parts and materials meet engineering specifications, manufacturing standards, and quality expectations.
- Support release of production records through change order processes and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Participate in internal and external audits, including regulatory and certification audits.
- Lead or support SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Requests) and implement robust corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in the selection, qualification, and development of new suppliers to ensure alignment with company standards.
- Conduct regular supplier audits to verify compliance with applicable quality systems and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical support and training to suppliers to help reduce defect rates and improve performance.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- CQE, CQA, or similar quality certification preferred.
- Deep knowledge of quality systems and methodologies, including:
- ASME Y14.5, PPAP, 8D, SPC, FMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Capability Studies
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with quality controls related to PCB/PCBA manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of inspection methods, metrology tools, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across teams and with external partners.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams to drive results.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
- Proficiency in tools like Jira, TrackVia, and Microsoft Office Suite.
